Unfortunately, marksmen are below rogues in PvM, whether in solo hunts or party hunts. Clearly, marksmen have their own focus with wave spells (Piercing Shot, Spread Shot) and critical hits (Critical Continuum).
However, the marksman's damage per second needs a few improvements to make marksmen gameplay as viable as rogues' gameplay has become today - pleasant and efficient. Ideas: A) Lower the cooldown of Piercing Shot to 3 seconds <--> Piercing Shot is a great spell, especially after the addition of the special talent that improves its area, but the cooldown is still too high to be balanced. B) Expand the area of impact of Arrow Volley to 2x2 around the target <--> Arrow Volley is a spell rarely used by marksmen due to its difficulty in hitting targets, although its damage is about 25% higher than that of Hellish Volley, which can improve the marksman's damage per second, even though this spell has a 5-second cooldown. |

I believe that rangers until level 500, in general, lack hp sustain when hunting alone a large number of mobs while focusing on achieving high exp/h rates.
Meditation could be changed to a buff that provides 5% hp steal, more than barbarian's Frenzy (3%) and less than the warlock's Dark Gathering (+/- 10%). This would make that spell more useful improving ranger class overall. |

As a paladin that sometimes play a role to block hunting places for rangers i saw distinct situations for both subclasses. Concerning to only aoe damage aspects rogue seems to be well balanced using traps. In the case of marksman they're not even close to rogue because their front spells have low dmg if you take into account their high cds what reduces party experience in comparison to a rogue.

Nowadays in Zezenia, area damage is meta for all subclass.
Marksman is a shame for pve. They've Nice disable magics despite small single target damage unless you've full critical hit boost set which is hard to obtain. Even having a full critical set, considering the ricochets as well, the aoe damage will remain low for a subclass that should be offensive. It's no wonder that most rangers who were able to buy a subclass change in the webshop definitively opted for rogue because they could deal greater single target and aoe damage. And those who have fun being marksman always report the same problems. |

We've been over this many many times now with ZERO feedback from the staff, it's just like shouting to the wind, it's pointless.
Maybe once the owner needs a bit more money again this topic will be talked about, until then just switch classes or play your ranger with the assumption it will be the way it is. |

Rogues are really awesome to play now but marksmen deserve some love from the Staff looking to better develop their advantages regarding critical damage and perhaps increase in size the area of some spell. In short, a few changes would be enough to balance this subclass.
CM Mercury, any feedback from the Staff about this thread would be amazing! |

It seems that 'C.M' doesn't reply us anymore at least about balancing something even though this is extremely clear and warned by many players.

In my opinion, to balance classes, all classes should have two 2s area spells or one instant area spell

I'm with you, because arrow volley is useless, so a rework of it is interesting to allow more versatility to marksman. About the other 2 marksman straight-line spells, spread shot is the worst covering a small area, exactly the same area of piercing shot linked with its special talent but dealing less damage than piercing shot. To solve this, there are two options: reduce the cooldown of the piercing shot or increase the damage of the spread shot. |
